too much salt makes my lips all cut up! i like that pain though! especially when i rinse my mouth with listerine!!

I love em too. I don't like the numb feeling tho....that's when I stop, but that only happens when i eat the original sunflower seeds. Try the cheese flavored....I like the ranch also.

Oh my goodness! I am exactly the same. I love'em.
Your tongue and lips hurt because of the salt I guess (I don't like the plain kind) And your lips get swollen. Hehe!

I love sunflower seeds! However, the salt will tear your mouth up, so try the unsalted kind.

I thought my siblings and I were the only ones who ate them until our mouths hurt. My lips get all white and puffy like I just had collagen injections. I already have full lips so you can imagine it looks like bad plastic surgery.
