Fleas do not live on humans, they only bite us

Yes, it is possible to get infested with fleas when you sleep with your cats. When mine were really young with fleas, I went to Wal-Mart and bought the Seargant's Flea POWDER and I used a very small amount, just enough to get them to jump off the cats. Then, you have to vacuum your carpet thoroughly to get the fleas out of there too; do this once a week and put a flea collar in the vacuum bag; it kills the fleas that get trapped in the bag. This way, you will rid your cats and house from those pesky critters. Then, you won't have to worry so much about them. Be sure also to shampoo your hair everyday just in case!

Yes, if the cats have fleas and you sleep with them, you most likely have them too. I would get some real good spray for the fleas and spray everything for them and get another opinion about something to use on them. Keep them from going outside until you get it under control. They have a powder out for cats that kill fleas also but I don't know the ages of your cats or how old they have to be to use it on them.

The most common type of flea infestation is from feline fleas. Once you bring them into the house, you're extremely screwed, without being kissed. The only thing that you can do in take mesures to rid all of your property of them. This will include, treating your yard, rugs, linens, and animals, all at the same time.
Flea eggs can live in your carpet and furniture for a year before hatching, and reinfesting the whole home. You have to kill them all and their eggs. Here's a link that will explain it to you in detail.

I don't think your vet knows what he's talking about. My vet uses Revolution on my cat and it killed his fleas and ear mites. Its safe for cats over 8 weeks. I read the label myself. I'm surprised that your vet recommended a flea collar. They don't work well and its a choking hazard. And yes fleas can live on humans.

Sadly, if the fleas are bad, YES!! It has happened to me with 4 dogs! But Im talking the dogs were COVERED with them!! Normally just a few wont get you.
Try Cedar... it is a natural bug repellant!! You can use a spary on the cats and bed and sofa, etc, and if they have a cat bed, use cedar chips in the bed!
Good Luck!

Very possible. Fleas will jump to whatever surface supplies nourishment. If you still want to be that nourishment, keep the sleeping arrangements.

Cats and dogs don't belong in bed with people. Whatever they have on their coat, fur, you will attract eventually.

Your doctor will praise you, your sheets will thank you and you will feel better without sharing fleas.

Of Course! If the cats have fleas, dont sleep with them until they are old enought to handle proper flea treatment. You are pretty sick.

to get rid of the fleas on the babies give them a bath in head and shoulders shampoo. It won't hurt them, but it will kill the fleas. and you won't get infested with fleas yourself but you probably will be bitten and the might bed up in your mattress.
