My initial answer I have deleted because upon rereading your question, it became clear that I have completely misread it. I have come to the conclusion at this point in my life that religion is no longer the blessing that humanity has long thought it. If anything, religion is a corrosive and toxic influence both on the human mind and on the human spirit. And, no other aspect of human existence, so divides human beings and keeps them from reaching cooperative consensus to deal with the issues facing humanity today.

As for mockery, while religion itself has become something to be mocked because of its failure to adequately prepare human beings to cope with their world and its problems, no one actually has the right to mock someone else for their religious beliefs. Especially since, no religion successfully provides answers to our problems any better than any other.

The people who mock your religion do so to intimidate you and to dehumanize you, thus to justify the atrocities that their governments commit in their name. Most societies have behaved like this because it is easier to make war against an enemy that you no longer believe is human than to respect that he is fighting for his beliefs and for his family. In other words, mockery is the language of those too inarticulate to say anything meaningful on any particular topic. By the same token, almost all of us are guilty of mocking someone or something when we're feeling a bit irritable with someone's position on a topic. It's not right, but it's not a surprise either.

I don't believe Islam is a religion of mockery but there are things that are very hard for many people to understand. Christianity had some of these problems earlier in history as well but has moved past them for the most part.

But some things that are difficult to understand:
- Unequal treatment of women
- Proclaiming that killing any American as the dutie of anyone beliving in Islam
- Terrorisim as an answer to anything

Thing like these cause people to not understand the real religious aspects of Islam. Which for some can lead to mockery. But then again others will mock anything they don't understand.

The religious wars is also very much promoted by the Christian scholars. Jerry Falwell Paul Hagee. Who wants the world destruction so Jesus? They quote the out of context verses of Qur'an to have some fun.

I have start much talked Book of Revelation and really don't want to post verses which will offend all you Christians. I am a Muslim and cleary prohibited not to mock any other religious beliefs.

The question is asked by people who don't have the knowledge of their own scriptures. They believe in all the rumors and hatred preached by their Priests like two mentioned above.

Christians have performed way more harm via-out historical past (When you bear in mind the mass genocide condoned via the church).... Islam isn't a mockery of faith..... Religion is a mockery of human mind.

I'm not sure whether EVERYONE on earth wants peace. Muslims are a threat of 'peace' to the REAL terrorists, so they are tryna be wiped out one-by-one... starting with Afghanistan...then Iraq.... and everybody knows which country is being wiped off the face of the earth at this moment.

""Why is Islam a religion of mockery?""

I really do not know why it is a religion of mockery if indeed it is.
I expect, if it is are religion of mockery - they must mock other religions or peoples. That is the only way it could be classified as such.

I would like to know who the people are who are calling it a religion of mockery. That is a TERRIBLE thing to say!

I dont know where yu get this idea of mockery? why blame the religion, i am a muslim and in the Qur'an there is no mockery n no contradictions everything is up front..yes muslim people say they want peace n then later on do sum violence but its not the religions its that persons fault for their way of thinking, so actually they are making a mockery out of our religion..so plese so yu dont make others offended dont blame the religion unless yu got sum proof from Qur'an i'd lyk to read it and see where yur comming from. cuz in islam violence yu go to hell unless sumone who is non muslim comes to yu and wants to kill yu cuz yu wont convert to their religion then yu have the right to attack otherwise it is not allowed in islam and it is said yu will go to Hell and pay for yur wrong doings..

every religion is mocked daily, no faith is "safe." to claim the Islam needs protection because of the Kaba gatherings is like pleading with people to stop making fun of Christianity because of Christmas. Or Judaism because of Chanukah. it's unreasonable, people still make dead baby jokes, remember?

People are ignorant and figure if you're Muslim, you're a terrorist. It doesn't help that there are many fascist regimes in the Middle East trying to pass bullshit propaganda as teachings from the Koran.
