Yes, my first love. The relationship went on and off for almost 8 years. He cheated on me, was abusive at times, went after some of my best friends (also neighbors) - yet wouldn't let me go - or even admit infidelity.
Some things I sensed on my own, some friends were good enough to tell me. It ended finally as he moved further away - I saw less and less of him - started making friends (and catching up with some of the old ones I'd lost to being mixed up with him). About a year later I met, then married my late-husband - who was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Its easy to find out when someone dont love you, simple they just dont care about your thoughts and what you want in life. Its a hard task to tell the heart to move on but you need to get involve in activities to keep your mind on other thing. Yor true love will find you soon

Very interesting. People have in fact fallen in love with dead heros. Unrequited love is the stuff of operas, soap operas, plays and novels. And it happens every day of the week, only most ordinary folk accept it, try to banish the loved one from her/his mind, and get a life. Otherwise they risk becoming stalkers!

You can't be IN LOVE with someone that doesn't feel the same. It could be lust, or really loving that person, but you can't possibly be willing to die for someone that doesn't love you back. You just end it by knowing that what you WANT could never be cause the feeling isn't mutual, and be strong in mind, body, and soul for your heart to recover.

Mmm...well,
It isn't really love if they don't love you back, now is it?.
Everyone has been in the situation where they had feelings for someone and that someone did not return those feelings.
(Whether they want to admit it or not)
How does it end?
I suggest you focus on yourself: explore who you are completely.
You can't expect to find the one that's perfect for you, if you don't even know who you are.
Also, make sure they are your best friend before you give your heart away again.
I hope my advice helped and I apologize if it didn't.
Take care!

Sounds like you're hurting because you really want someone to like/love you and they don't. Why?
It's not really love if it's not mutual. It's called infatuation, which can sometimes be one-sided, or "unrequited affection". But not love.
Love is a mutual repect, trust, and acceptance....it is confident and certain.
Infatuation usually occurs when you find something intriguing about someone (or feel strong sexual chemistry) and you want them to feel that way about you.
It could grow into love, but usually fades if it's not reciprocated or if something else distracts it (another more fascinating person).
I can't understand why people are even attracted to others that are not attracted to them.....rejection is a turn-off to me. I like to be appreciated, and that's what gets my attention....

Kind of. I fell for a girl that had a boyfriend already. She developed feelings for me but had a kid with the boyfriend, so she was trying to make it work with him. Later I got frustrated and left, but never stopped loving her. But I did stop showing it, and when she left him she thought I had gotten over her and she moved on herself. She got married before I got a chance to tell her I do still love her. It hurts now, but se la vie.

Oh that's happened to me about a million times. I just asked myself, why would you want to be with someone who doesn't even love you? Then I pulled myself together, did some nice activites to improve my self-esteem, and moved on to someone who would treat me like I know I deserve.
