All of those antidepressants seem to vary from person to person. Some people do better on Zoloft, some on Paxil, some on Prozac ... side effects are common particularly early on but they tend to ease off after about a week or so.

Some people really cannot tolerate an antidepressant so they need to be switched over to another one.

Okay, very important...I was put on Ritalin for my ADD at the age of 26 and the RITALIN TRIGGERED PANIC ATTACKS!

Many adults cannot take ritalin for this same reason.

I've been on Paxil and/or Paxil CR for about three years and it is WONDERFUL!!! LOL

I would question why you are on Ritalin, Wellbutrin AND Zoloft, I've never heard of that. I was on Strattera for awhile, but had to stop taking my ADD medication, mainly because it got too expensive, but I didn't like the side effects. I don't take any meds for my ADD. It makes some things harder, but I feel my Depression/Anxiety is a bigger problem, so I don't mind. It is much easier to live with the ADD than to live with the side effects of the medication. Strattera has some pretty scary side effects, including liver failure, so I wouldn't personally reccomend it.

PTSD and Depression can also mimic symptoms of ADD. I am by no means qualified to say "don't take your meds" because I personally, NEED mine, but if some of your symptoms can be relieved by discontinuing one of those pills, then you need to work with your doctor on this.

Talk to your doctor, he/she may want to try you on Concerta, which is a control-release form of Ritalin. It may lower the incidence of panic attacks, if they are indeed being triggered by the Ritalin, and hey, if it gets you off another pill, it might be worth it.

According to the Drug Digest, you should also be aware of this information:

SERTRALINE HYDROCHLORIDE (in Zoloft) may interact with GRAPEFRUIT JUICE

Sertraline is broken down in the body by the liver. Grapefruit may interfere with the liver’s ability to break down the sertraline, causing sertraline to remain in the body for a longer period of time. This could cause an increase in both the intended effect and the side effects of sertraline including nausea, dizziness, headaches, and sleep disturbances. Patients taking sertraline may want to avoid any type of grapefruit including its juice, the fruit itself, and any supplements that may contain grapefruit. You may drink other types of juices with sertraline. You may want to ask your healthcare provider about this potential interaction if you think you are having problems.

I use to take 40 mg of paxil. It worked well on me. But it has different effects on different people. Good Luck with everything, hopefully the meds that you take now will work well for you.
