American Christians live such a life of compromise. Which is a shame, because God uses those that don't in a huge capacity. Are there any Christians out there living a holy lifestyle and being used by God in a great way?

Man looks on the outward appearance, but God looks on the heart.

Doing a bible study on that very thing right now, it's cool. The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges.
Using me in a huge capacity? Well, I sure hope so, but that tends to be one of those things you can't always see right away. I hope so because my job requires me to live in a family of unbelievers. But it's hard to tell how you are being used sometimes. And it's even harder to stand up and stand for what you believe in, instead of taking that easy way of compromise, but I pray that God would help me mature and that he would provide a way out when the temptation to compromise comes along. I just try to follow God, obey him and pray that he uses the situation to glorify his name. That's about all I know how to do right now. I hope one day when I look back at this I will see that I was used in a big way!
God bless

i think there are plenty of Christians who do their best to walk with the Lord with all their heart. i also want to remind you that God does not despize small things. He rewards faithfulness, and some of the great work for God is done in the quietness and kindness and done in such a way that it does not draw attention to itself.

It is true that American Christians should be doing more because they have such an abundance of resources, but keep in mind God is in control, God is always at work, and always using those who choose to come alongside and join Him in His work.

People compromise because they are sinful and selfish. I think your question would be better off as a statement to encourage Christians to have a walk worthy of the calling they've been given. We've all compromised and fallen short and that's why we need God's grace.

Yes, many have been used as an instrument to GOD's ways to open the eyes of those who are in disbelief of HIS ability to send love and peace to those who are misguided in any way.......
