Basically, when files are deleted, the space they occupied is just marked as free. The data isn't actually gone until the data is written over or actually removed.

You can find many programs that can "recover" deleted files. They basically just change the data to not be "free" open space any more.

Remember the longer you wait the harder it is to recover. Also, performing a defrag of your drive also increases the chance of not recovering deleted files.

when you delete a file, the link to location is really being deleted, and when you write new stuff on your computer, it get written on top of the old files.
there few ways to recover, but none of them are guaranteed. you can use simple windows recovery file options, or Norton has recovery tool, there many otheres as well.

though u delete the files even from recycle bin they r not really deleted but the thing is that we can't see them but there are softwares which can recover files even if ur hard disk is formatted example recover 4 all professional version

if you want to completely erase a file use these
eraser free from download.com
or windows washer 30 bucks from download.com

u can do system reovery . go to start> programs > accesories> system tools > syetem recovery and reover ur sdystem to date u deleted the files .
