I just recently changed th battery and wires to my mitsubishi and i called the dealers and they want to charge me $46 for the code, can some one say RIDICULOUS! Thats the cost of a new one. Please Help!!!!! My car is so silent! I hate the silence!

there is no universal code. all radios are different. trust me i have a mitsubishi and i had to get the code also. fortunately mine was written on the stereo itself when i took it out. you have no choice but to go to the dealership

Well you really only have 2 choices, take the radio to the dealer or buy a new one. Like previously mentioned there is no universal code or Pick up a new unit.

If you know what dealership it was bought from when new then call them usually dealerships keep this. If not then look around for a sticker somewhere in the glovebox, manual. If not then call and they should help you somehow! Also it can be under the fusebox cover sometimes.
