We will be flying in to LAX from Sydney (13 hours in cheap seats), arriving into LAX at 10am then leaving for Florida 12 hours later. Are there day rooms available at LAX, or is there a nearby Hotel that offers day rates rather than overnight rates?

We don't need the Ritz-Carlton, just clean and comfortable.

Try nearby hotels in El Segundo (Hilton Garden, Doubletree, etc.). They are close by and easy to reserve.

Santa Monica also has some nice hotels on the beach--enjoy the beach and the weather of sunny California.

If you want to enjoy the beach, go to Venice. They let you sleep on the sidewalks there.

Most hotels offer some sort of day room...it depends on availability...you may just go ahead and get a room at a normal rate instead. Sometimes dayrooms have limitations on how long you can stay, when to check-in, out, etc. From 10am until 8pm or so...I'd say you may have to just reserve a regular room...You can probably get something with a free shuttle for around $75. Good luck!

Yeah you should check out Hotels By Day. They offer nice hotels in in the USA, where you can book a hotel room for just the day. You will save money as you won't have to pay as much as the entire night stay.
