He might be, but in all actuality, he might just not be good at it, or he thinks he is Dale in good 'ol number 8 and thinks he's in a race...
Have you told him? If so, and he does it anyway, stop following him and go someplace else. When he gets pissed that you not there.. keep your calm - don't ***** or raise your voice (Remember - reinforce your argument, don't raise your voice.) and explain AGAIN to him that HE lost you, and you had alreay ASKED him to try harder to let you follow without looking and acting like you belong in Nascar.
If that dosent work...let him lose you, and drive to the nearest hangout amd meet someone else...

Men behind the wheel are hard to explain. Just like the little thing about men will never stop and ask directions but keep on going until hell freezes over. Why don't you trade off and have him follow you every other time. See what he has to say about you being in the lead?

Does he always drive that way? I mean when you are with him in the same vehicle does he always go through yellow lights? I know a lot of people do, maybe that's just how he drives. If not, then yes, it is mean if you don't know where you are going and are counting on him to show you.

It is rude yes. It could be that he thinks you drive too slow also and he's having a hard time driving slow enough to allow you to keep up with him. It may sound silly but if you're used to driving fast all the time then it's very hard to drive slower. The speed limit starts to make you feel like you're crawling and then make you feel like you want to jump out of your skin - at least on certain roads anyway.

You know it's kind of funny, because my wife, my girlfriend back then, and I used to like and race each other when we took separate cars. I mean if she didn't know where the place was I wait for, but if it was to a place we both knew, the race was on. I don't know, try and beat him once and leave him at a light.
She won most of the time by the way. I still let her catch me, get my drift? lol

I think it's rude! He isn't thinking that you would like to stay right behind him just in case something happens! I am sure he doesn't even notice he is doing it because it is a habit but still you should let him know it bothers you and see if he tries to stop doing it.

LOL. how long have you two been dating? I mean, ive followed people, and it happens all the time... and not on purpose. Have you tried talking to him about it? Its the only 100% way to know for sure why he does it. Maybe he doesnt realize it..
good luck and best wishes

He's just not paying attention, try not to take it personal. Now if he's getting mad that you aren't keeping up with him, then you need to let him know he needs to be more aware of where you are in his rearview mirror. My ex used to do the same crap to me, finally I decided to get totally lost just to piss him off...took him 20 minutes to get me on the right track - i told him he needs to pay attention to where i was, he never did that again =o)

He probably thinks he's cool and I'm sure he's probably young. I'm sure he does it out of nervousness and thinks it makes him look cool.
One day, just don't show up at the spot you're following him too. See if he pulls that one again.

Yes that is rude. And yes he might be trying to tell you something. It could be one of two things. One he just wants some space, or two he's done.
