YES I have:

I had a few visit my home not long ago. Right away I asked them, "Is it true what I hear about JW belief that Jesus Christ is actually Michael the Archangel and not God, the Son?"

The facial expressions indicated discomfort. They did not like the question but eventually confirmed that, YES, that is their belief.

I then reminded then of what John wrote in his Gospel. It opens with, In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD. A few verses later John tells us the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us.

OK...the WORD Was God and then the WORD became flesh...Jesus. So using logic directly from John's Gospel in these opening verses...Jesus must be God.

They could not respond and it was time for them to leave. One said they would like to come back another time. I agreed and invited them back anytime. I have not seen or heard from any of them since.

They were very nice and polite people that I would like to come back. They may be exposed to truth and come away from that cult they're trapped in.

Try a book called "Reasoning from the Scriptures with the Jehova's Witnesses" by Ron Rhodes.
I've never read this one, but the Mormon version was *fantastic*.
Extremely helpful, and super easy to read.
Here's a link!

("More than 700,000 Jehovah's Witnesses spend 130 million hours each year spreading Watchtower beliefs. Rhodes shows Christians how to graciously and effectively turn the tables and share the truth of the gospel in a loving way. This book will provide hands-on knowledge Christians can use each time they open the door to a Jehovah's Witness.")

I have been doing this for years. They are not Christian, they use Chritian termonology and have a Bible that was rewritten by their heiarchy the Watchower. If you are a Christian and want to help them see the truth you must be patient. They are very knowledeable on what they believe as they are heavily indoctrinated by the Watchower, everything is filtered through it. If you are non Christian and just turned off by them , be polite and close the door. But to watch the light shine through when you show them their errors as they scamper for an elder is a sight to behold. It takes a while to get to that point though. They are lost people that are guided by a diabolical organization. Because they are friendly and nice does not change this.. The Bible says there are those who are deceived and there are deceivers. To start show them John 2;19. If Jesus isnt God why did he say (I) will raise up the temple of my body. Other scripture say Jehovah(God) raised him up. Are their two that raised him? No. Jesus and God are the same. If you need help , email me. Peace.

I actually listened once. I spent a night in my girlfriend's place but she had to go work in the morning. I stayed but 5 mins after she left someone knocked on the door and I thought she left her keys or something. Well, there were 2 JW (one old lady, one young lady) standing in front of the the door. They preached, I counter-preached and we went into a battle of wits with the old lady almost hitting her face like Curly from the Three Stooges anytime I replied with some smart-*** science book answer. The younger lady (who was so hot is a disgrace she's in that cult) just stared. I admit I was bored, I wanted to keep screwing my gf but she was new in her job so she couldn't miss a day that soon, so the next best thing was to screw with a JW's brain, faith and patience.

I am not a Jehovah's Witness, but I know many who are or were....you people are ignorant and you "deal" with a person of a different religion just like you do with those who worship the same way you do. They're still PEOPLE.

No I never have, never thought of it either. I respect every ones choice in what they choose to believe,I don't try to push my beliefs onto anyone. People who know me or meet me can see and hear my beliefs if they want but I'm only stating how and why I believe what I do. I think it is a waste and certainly not right to ridicule any ones belief. Live and let live is one of my motto's.I have and still wonder why people go door to door to try and bring others to there religion. If anyone wants to go to another church or any church they are free to do so with out being pressured. I also think when someone tries to put pressure on me about anything I want to do the opposite or just turn the other way.

JWs who come to your door are generaly NOT open to hear any other pov. To witness to a JW it is best to get them alone and not in their door-to-door mode. And on a friendshp basis... You must have a very good knowledge of Scripture and be able to find quickly and defend any scripture you cite. JWs have a well memorized script and follow it with good knowledge of what their doctrin is. You need to get a good grasp of what it is they believe and be prepaired inadvance to counter the deceptions they are bound by... always remember that they, espacialy the door-to-door ones, are VERY firm in their position... it is not an easy task to take on to reach them.... you need to be aware that it will not happen fast. It is a long term outreach on an individual basis...they know that if they do "convert" they will lose all contact with friends and family who remain in the cult...that is a hard thing for them and for you to overcome... May God Guide your outreach

I've had quite a few religious discussions with Witnesses. They do have some odd beliefs. However, they seem to be, as a whole, one of the few Christian sects that try to live their religion. I do respect them a lot for that. My experience has been that they usually are not open to hear others beliefs. As to "how to deal with" them. Treat them as you would anyone else. Remember "Love thy neighbor as thy self."

Personally I've neevr had problems with a JW. I just deny any request and keep it moving. However I have seen a couple of situations where they were stopped at the gate...one scripture that I heard being used is John 1:1, which supports the diety of Jesus Christ....

Yes I witnessed to them. I remember discussing John1. They never returned to my house and when I ran into the one I witnessed to he smiled and said he would be back but kept walking to bother my neighbors. So yes I love to witness to them but no I don't think they accept teaching outside of there religion. But if you wish to never see them again simply tell them the truth about Jesus and they will never come back.
