I have a laptop with a cd/dvd drive. What kind of software do I need to copy DVD's? Also how do I find out if I can even do that on my computer? It doesn't say in the manual.

DVD Shrink will work on non copy protected DVD's otherwise you will first need to rip the dvd with DVD Decrypter.

Both programs are kind of old and are not supported anymore. However they still work on most DVD's except for Sony DVD's

You may have to buy a commercial program.
