Why not get the original Boys BIG Book of Greek Myths! You get all the good stories like ZEUS (Jesus) taking over from his dad and all the same morality plays told in a far more entertaining way than even the Old Testament rehashes made of them.
Hell, even Pinocchio tells it better.

The big difference is between the King James versions and before. The Bible may claim to be The Word, but believe me, it's been edited and chipped away and interpreted differently for generations. With any primary source, the earlier the version you read, the closer you're getting to historical truth. So LEARN HEBREW!

Unless you plan on joining the debate in here I'd steer clear of either version of the Bible. It's a fairy tale and needs to be treated with much less reverence than it's given. PEACE!

For the most part, its a matter of preference. All the major translations have the same content. Its just the wording that's different.

Please use the King James version, not a Good News or updated version. You will find that the scholars who interpreted this edition were inspired.
