She says ap for nap, ath for bath, bye, hi, mmbaaa for sippy, dad of course, mom occasionally, gaa gaa for food, oggie for dog but she will get lazy and bark to subsitute oggie, she said apple for a while then quit. I'm curious about her developement compared to other children her age.

So saying lazy was a bad choice of words. My child is very energetic.

She sounds fine. Just remember that all children are different and develope at there own pace. My daughter at the same age said "harn" for when she wanted a drink. It's not being lazy, just in her mind that's what drink was. We laugh about it now.

She seems to be right on track for her age. Its not her being lazy not calling a dog , but making the sound. That is her associating that dogs bark.

Sounds normal. I think the doctor said at that visit they should be using like 6 or more. Don't worry, all of a sudden they will start being able to say more and repeat (or attempt to at least) just about anything you say!

One of my daughter's favorites now is "Oh, man..."
I caught myself saying it one day, after I wondered where she picked that up! She also tells people to "Sit down", and says "Here you go" and "there it is."
