Just as in being a true American, to be a fire fighter one must pass tests and go through the proper channels. So..to use your analogy, yes you can put out fires, just as an illegal can "act" like a legal American. As far as your question about being a clown..well....i think that is already pretty evident.

You can certainly be a volunteer firefighter! There are many where I live in the towns in the area. Also, you may not be able to join any circus, but you could start you own or street-perform!! The minuteman are simply American citizens enforcing the laws of our great nation where the government greatly lags behind. It's like a crime watch program. Every citizen in every town should be always watching for suspicious activity and report it to authorities immediately. That's how you keep crime down. And if a group of Americans want to go watch the border to help our sometimes lackadaisical government and report people breaking our federal laws and undermining the justice system under which we all peacefully live, then we should be grateful. It is unselfish people like you who think the freedoms we have in this country come at no cost.

Minutemen just alert illegals to Border Control, they dont take people into custody or anything, so if you want to put on a fire outfit and drive around looking for fire, then notify the firestation when there is one, then feel free.

You can be a clown without the costume. Civilian action is always the first line of defense in emergencies. Good Samaritans and volunteers often lead the charge to protect their neighbors before the government steps in to do the same. Shall we call you Bozo?
