Used to have a pub in Brighton (sadly now gone) that specialised in selling Belgian beers - Hoegaarden, Kriek, Kwak, Delirium Tremens (13% I think). The DTs was served in a glass with little pink elephants on. It had that effect after a few.

tennants extra. there was a while back an english beer called thomas hardy special or something like that 17.5 proof. best way to find out what the strongest available on the market is to see what the wino's are drinking.

Definitely, Special Brew which is 9%.
My partner told me this and he has had lots of experience of drinking it!

Whoops! - I think he is wrong.
In 2003 and American Beer was due to be sold to Safeways, UK:
Dogfish Head Worldwide Stout - which is 23% - (WOW stronger than my wine!) - so it should be here by now - watch this space and check out site:

Also this site might be useful (but couldn't find details of the strongest beer, here):

Hope this helps and cheers!:>)

All the bums round here drink Tennants super, or Carlsberg special brew [known as electric soup]. Horrible stuff, stick to scotch.

Probably Special Brew or Tenant's super. Haven't drank either for at least tweleve years though. You can get stronger ones which are even more revolting but I think they are classified as Barley wines.
