OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! POOR POOR DOGGIE!!!!!!!!!!!! *cries*

u should make signs saying 'go slow, save the doggies!'

or go to a mayor's office or something, and tell him to make people get pretty fences to keep in the pups!

Well, seems like the primary problem here is that someone was letting their dog run around without being on a leash. This is bad and a lot of people seem to think it's a totally fine way to give their dog some "freedom."

Educate people about the importance of being responsible dog owners, which means using a leash and not letting their dogs run around randomly. Contact your local animal welfare organization and see if they need help conducting Humane Education classes--where they go in to schools and educate children about proper pet care and treatment, which of course includes keeping a dog on a leash.

Sometimes accidents happen, but you can't expect drivers to be required to drive 5 miles an hour in order to avoid hitting a dog when the dog shouldn't be in the road in the first place. That was the owner's negligence and you can do something about educating dog owners about leashing their dogs.

That is so sad but unfortunately you can't be there for all the ignorant and irresponsible dog owners-too bad you can't though. Have you ever thought of opening are starting a rescue? I am not sure how old you are but we started rescuing pups and dogs we found or wandered up to our house. Sometimes we run ads but there isn't any real point because they never get claimed so we fix them up and get them new loving families-maybe thats why so many wander up to our house :)

Animal control isn't a great option unless it's your only option-if the dog is sick or aggressive or old they just put them to sleep. Some shelters say if the owners don't claim them in 4 days they will be put to sleep but lately shelters have become overpopulated and if a dog goes in with no tags, it can be put down immediately-I know someone who was on vacation and her mom accidently let her dogs out-needless to say by the time they found them at the shelter they were already sleeping-all because they didn't have tags (but the tags somehow were removed after they escaped) Just my opinion...
