I just paid $54. to get Advantage for my Lab and its not working. She still has fleas. I have seen them. I have also bathed her in Adam's flea shampoo(which has worked great on other dogs I've had) but none came off. Now what?
PS. I bathed her before I put the advantage on her and she has not had a bath since.

I don't use that stuff with my animals I've never had any luck. I've even had the vet put it on thinking I was not putting it on right and it still didn't work. Try giving the dog another bath but leave the flea shampoo on longer.
Good Luck

Once your pet has fleas, they aren't just on your dog, they're everywhere in your dog's environment. Just treating the dog isn't enough. You need to treat the dog's bedding, the carpets, the furniture....Anywhere the dog has been, fleas might be living and laying eggs and then reinfesting the dog.

You'll likely need to use Advantage or something similar for several months in a row to be sure that you kill all the fleas on the dog.

This article from Drs. Foster & Smith details the steps needed to stop a flea infestation in your home.

Ugh. I HATE fleas.

First of all, don't use Advantage. It doesn't work.

Baths often and flea collars in between.
and Is your Lab an inside dog? If so, the fleas may be in your house and you should spray your house. I spray on the floor around the baseboards on all my walls a continuous spray all around my house, in every room. then spray a light mist over the rest of the carpet as often as you'd like. If you have time to do the fogger thing, try that.
Good Luck!

Bathe it with Dawn Dish Soap. Also, if you just put the medicine on, it may take up to 48 hours, read the package.

Frontline Plus is the only thing that works on my dog. I've tried them all.

Don't use Advantage they suck. Use Bio Spot or Frontline Plus, I've heard that they are the best. Advantage kills adult fleas, don't repel adult fleas, only kills eggs and larvae, controls flea development, doesn't repel/kills ticks, doesn't repel/kills mosquitoes and they are Topical. Bio Spot kills adult fleas, repels adult fleas, kills eggs and larvae, controls flea development, repels/kills ticks, repels/kills mosquitoes and it's an oral liquid. Frontline plus kills adult fleas, doesn't repel adult fleas, kills eggs/larvae, controls flea development, kills ticks, doesn't repel mosquitoes and are Topical.
