You can't shoot automatic firearms at a shooting range, most all shooting ranges require a 3 sec delay between shots.
So you can pretty much forget about it, I don't know of NY laws but the only chance you have is to find a budy with a class 3 license and a couple acres with a range on it. When I lived in Ohio, I had a neighbor with a class 3 license and he had a fully automatic 50 cal machine gun as well as an automatic mac 10 9mm. I was able to shoot the mac 10 but I only got to watch him shoot the 50, as he only did it once a year, because ammo is soooo expensive. I also, used to own an ak 47, not full auto, that I shot in my backyard, we had 100 acre wooded lot.

NY gun laws basically ban all machine guns and their semi auto varients.
