First stop doing them every day. Give at least 24 hours to rest and recover. You don't have to them all at once. Split them up into sets and reps, this will help you recover quick enough to train with more repetitions.

Take your 1 set of 30 and turn it into 3 sets of 10. Since you're trying to increase your total number of reps, try adding on another push up progessively. Maybe doing one more on each set will help you improve. You don't have to go from 10 to 15 in just two days. Just try getting to sets of 11 or 12 within two weeks. If you can do more than good, push yourself, but don't give up because your sets have plataeud for a week or 2.

And uhh, try eating a little more muscle wise. Take some protein supplements around your workout period.

You can also add on more chest exercises. If you do this, then your are establishing a chest workout. Try to do this program 2 or 3 seperate days a week. You can add on diamond push ups, one hand push ups, or dips. Try to do about 2 or 3 different workouts with at least 3 sets of 5 for each (this may take time to reach if you've never done any before).

Dips are done by grabbing two parralell bars and lowering your waist at the level of your fists, then pushing back up.

Extra chest exercises will help you strengthen the muscles you use for push ups.

We all have personal physical limitations. 30 may not be your limit, but it means that you are close. You do not need to always improve the number of reps you can do on the push up, the exercise itself is good for your health and is enough repetitions to accomplish this goal. You might want to do other exercises, do not fixate on just one routine. Overdoing push ups can lead to injury, so I would recommend working in other exercises and improving in those other areas. Hope this helps.

*shrug* I have the same problem. Now I can go up to 25 to 30, (varies, depending on how tired I am) but I've been stuck there for roughly a year.
