My friend has a severe thyroid disorder and has no health insurance. She is poor and needs MRIs and other VERY expensive procedures done. She is dying very quickly and I just need to find some help for her!Thanks for the help.

I agree with the above answer.
States vary in who and what they will cover, so she needs to go into the Social Services office and inquire.
Some states that do not cover poor adults (unless they are elderly or disabled) WILL cover adults with ongoing medical problems, so have her take with her information from her doctor on all medical ailments and conditions she has, as well as proof of income and proof of expenses.

Has she went to the welfare office and applied for a medical card?? or medicade? these pay for everything. my son is sick and has had to have eeg's mri's and ct scans and our medicle card has paid for everything. hope that helps.
