If you understand variations of species which had been explained under The Origin of Life, then you may accept your human fellows who were born with that kind of personality, not that they were straight at birth then go act against their nature.

Is this what God had taught you how to treat human fellows?

I think the real question here should be what is wrong with those people who answered your question by grouping homosexuals with murderers, rapists, theives etc.....
If this is truly gods teaching then I can only hope that christianity and other such religions are destroyed for good. Who would worship such malicious and unmercifull beings.
Remember at one point christianity excluded a great deal of races other than whites, women and at one point believed the disabled to be possessed by evil spirits.
Anyone ever heard of 'the crusades'?

To theresa g: recently the BBC did a very interesting documetary on homosexual animals in the wild. So YES i have seen homosexual animals. This idea of homosexuality being unnatural, I personslly believe it's more to do with aesthetics than morality.

Actually, the way I understand the Origin of Species, there should be no gays. Especially if it is a genetic passing on thing, since gays would not reproduce early on because they didn't want to be with women. They should have died out long ago, at least by the way that book explains things.

I personally believe it is something that happens in a person's life rather than born with it that causes gayness. To my understanding, all males (gay, straight, and bisexual) have at some point in their lives a gay fantasy that turns them on. That is supposed to have no exceptions. During this time I believe is when everyone makes their decision on the subject. If they stay straight, they are either too scared to face the possibility, or it just happens maybe one time and they choose to assume it was some crazy thing that just happened and can be ignored.

But I believe some think more of this event. They think they might be gay and choose to go out and find out. They get with some other guy at this point. Now skin is skin so it should feel good to them anyway (gay or straight) and so they take this feeling good to mean they are gay and they continue. Bisexuals I believe go through the same thing but are willing to try both or were afraid at the beginning to believe they were gay but liked the feel of it, so they kept going back and forth between men and women.

This is my theory of how this happens and it certainly has evidence behind it, but not enough to say that is what happens for sure. I could be wrong on this, and in fact there is a fairly strong chance that I am. But it would explain why there are some even though God says its wrong, or evolution says they shouldn't exist.

Humans are not buffets where they are able to add or subtract traits like side dishes.

Along with being homosexual, those individuals tend to be more creative, more intelligent, more left handed, mor schizophrenic more prone to addiction and emotional problems. Package deal, all the options, no opt outs.

This has obvious implications.

Homosexuals are part of the solution and the problems of society.

Wow what a concept. Your God made you all with variety so there must be multiple paths to reach Him.

They are here to be learned from.

Or

There is no such thing as God and everything is meaningless from a Christian or other religious point of view.

You might as well ask why are there alcoholics or drug addicts in the world. Human weakness.

I would treat a homosexual the same way that I would treat any other disorder -- with compassion, but also with truth. If someone had an alcohol problem, what's the point of burying ones head in the sand and pretending that there is no problem? Doesn't that make you an enabler?

Homosexuality is a normal human variation like height or IQ, some of us a clever & gay some of us are dim & short!

Anyone who tells you homosexuality is a choice or that it is a sin is a liar or a rogue with a personal or falsely religious-based homophobic agenda to push.

The only one that can answer your question is Jesus .And you will find the answers in the word of God. ( The Bible ).
And I can't speak for other Christians, But I do not hate any one. what I don't like is seeing some one lose their salvation because of a sin . The Bible say that if you don't accept Jesus as your Lord and savor .That you will not go to Heaven .. And if you have Jesus in you Life you would want to obey him and not be a homosexual.

Some interesting things that Jesus said:

"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." -Matthew 7:1-2

"Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
-Matthew 9:19

"Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves." -Matthew 7:15

Anyone preaching hatred against homosexuals is, by Jesus' teachings, a false prophet.

Any Christian who hates someone because of who they are is a very bad Christian.

Hi Gremlin,

There is both Old Testament and New Testament proof that homosexuality is definitely not approved by God. Romans Chapter 1 is a good chapter that talks about how man chose to worship the creature instead of the creator and so God left them over to the depravity of their own minds and they began to do whatever pleased themselves and one of those things include men with men, woman with woman and it says they gave themselves over to their unnatural uses... etc.

In other words- people chose not to acknowledge God and His ways and chose to follow their own hearts and this is one of the things that have come about with man doing whatever man thinks is right. God is the one who designed us and if you look at the parts anatomically first of all- homosexuality doesn't fit. Part of God's blessing too is creating and men with men and women with women also does not create. It does not mean that this is the only purpose of sex- God created sex - meant to be enjoyed in the context of a marriage between a man and a woman.

In Romans 1 we kind of see the essence of sin- man choosing his way over God's way. So it is not being gay that sends someone to Hell, it is a refusal to accept God's way and insist on following one's own way. In that sense everyone has sinned and need Jesus' forgiveness. That's really important because many in the homosexual community get a sense that God hates them. God hates sin, not people, he died on a cross for people to have the opportunity for forgiveness.

God doesn't just tell us things to prohibit us but for our good. The homosexual community has a much higher rate of promiscuity and statistically few relationships last for a lifetime (which is what so many people are searching for isn't it? A love that lasts forever.)

i hope this helps i'm trying to just share based on what i've learned from the Bible and also from some of my homosexual friends (i'm a pastor by the way). i believe God has asked us to love people but to also tell the truth to them. There is a ministry of Christians who used to be homosexual and they shared with my church a lot of the damaging things that homosexuals have gone through and i think they could be helpful as well, checkout livingstones.com

in Christ's kindness,

Don't forget to ask them why there is predation, disease, physical abnormalities, war, and other dastardly inflictions.

After horrendous disasters or personal calamities, religious people commonly thank their god for the miracle of saving them or helping them. It does not occur to them that, if god is omnipotent, he could have prevented the disaster before it struck in the first place. Since god did not prevent the disaster, he obviously harmed his poor believer purposely and with malice. Who needs gods like that?

I am a firm beliver that God dosnt hate homosexuals, he just hates the lifestyle they choose to live. God Loves us all. The Devil has planted a seed in the minds of homosexuals to belive that same sex intercourse is okay. In the days of Solom and Gamora (Spelling) Homosexuality plaiged the earth and God destroyed the world. With so many other signs that the end is near, We as cristians should be gearing up for the return of our lord and savior.
