I turn them in to the people in the dump. They collect chemicals such as paints and cleaners, used anti-freeze, etc. Call your city services associated with garbage collection, they should be able to help you out on it.

We dispose of them in the trash can. What you need to do is just get NiMH rechargesble batteries... when the batteries die, you recharge them... saves a lot of money. It doesnt say where to dispose them on Duracell alkalines so whenever we have a alkaline dead, we throw it away.

You can set them on fire, bury them for future generations, throw them in the gutter, throw them away in the trash.
Screw global warming, it doesn't' exist, we are on a cycle and in about 30-40 years, people will be saying we are going to freeze over.
