How are you going to convince me that WE are wrong!?

What is wrong with our religion!?

That we don't smoke? That we don't drink? That we don't do drugs? That we pay our tithes? That we love God & Christ, and believe in the power of the Holy Ghost?

I am Mormon! I used to be Catholic, and I studied with the Jehovas Witness as well. If there is anything wrong, it is people like YOU! People like you are what make religion a bad thing.

And on that note, WHAT religion are YOU? What makes your religion right?
Just let us be! If you don't agree with our beliefs, that's okay with me. We are NOT forcing you to convert. Just go on with your happy & ignorant life, and leave us alone.

We are NOT hurting anyone by being religious.

There is something wrong with every religion. Just try not to take it so seriously and come up with your own where you treat people well, thank God for everything you have, don't be rude and treat everyone with respect and love. Seriously, it works for me. I do not need to go into a church in order to become a better person. I have noticed that people do horrible things to others thinking that they will go to church on Sunday and say a few prayers and everything will be alright.

Believe in God, but do not be psychotic about it. The Mormons, however, claim that polygamy is no longer a part of their religion. Men have always tried to bring women down, which is why they are able to hide behind religions. That definitely needs to stop and it is up to the women to bring justice!!!!!!!

I am quite surprized you're bothered by Mormons! Aren't you the same person who posted a question about not being able to get rid of a couple that you picked up and spent the night with... So, you don't marry them, you just claim (because frankly I believe you are full of it) to f*ck them... what's the big difference here?

By the way, it's monogamy and I think you should look for a spot on the Jerry Springer show, you'd be a hit!

It's particularly hard to deal with cults. There is a psychological power that a cult has over its followers that is very powerful. As for Mormons and polygamy, it is still practiced under the radar of the law in some parts of the country but it's not as common as it once was.

There is a classic book written by Walter Martin called, "Kingdom of the Cults." You can order it at any Christian bookstore, but I'm sure you can also find a copy at Amazon or eBay. He defines the major belief systems of all the major cults and explains how to interact with them without offending them. It's also a great resource for anyone doing a project or thesis on major cults.

Bisextracy,

You can't. Except for those never gaining a true testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and its Restoration, few will walk away.

The word monogomy isn't recognized in any dictionary I own. But monogamy is, and it prevails in the LDS Church as a one man, one woman union before God.

Polygamy for the main body of the Church ended in October 1890. Did you know that?

As a Latter-day Saint, I tend to believe that you are wrong. Our religion was passed down by Jesus Christ, the lord and savior of all mankind. Who are we to argue with God or his firstborn son? Our Heavenly Father has flat-out told us which religion is true, so we spread the word to others.

By the way, polygamy has not been practiced by the mormons since the early 1800's, and even then, it was not officially encouraged by the church. Read the Book of Mormon. It discourages polygamy.

If ignorance were bliss, you'd be orgasmic.

Silly non-mormon, the church doesn't practice polygamy anymore!

Church President Wilford Woodruff issued the Manifesto in October 1890 announcing an official end to the Church practice of plural marriage. Since 1904, it has been uniform Church policy to excommunicate any member either practicing or openly advocating the practice of polygamy.

What makes you think yours is so right? Or anyone else's for that matter?

Come on people, these are not "religion and spirituality" questions, this is just sheer ignorance. No one's religion or path is any more right or wrong than his neighbor's or mother's or a stranger he meets on the street. What it all comes down to is we are all born, we all die, and we all move on to something better. No matter what you call it - heaven, the Summerland, the Etheric, God, Allah, Buddha, Isis, the Divine Spirit... WE ARE ALL THE SAME.

Not mormon here, actually don't practice any particular religion, but was raised Lutheran. I think you have a big misconception about Mormon's. Polygamy is not practiced by most mormon's...only offshoots that I believe aren't even recognized by the Mormon church.
