146 is not a bad weight for someone who is 5'9", it's probably an ideal weight. Not eating will make you loose weight, the gum thing doesn't have anything to do with it.

I don't know about you, but gum chewing makes me hungry. I would want to eat more if I chewed gum all day. I don't think 146 at 5'9" is anything to worry about except if your clothes won't fit and you can't or don't want to get bigger ones. At the risk of sounding like a PSA, eating right and exercising is your best bet...especially the exercising. I once lost more than you've gained by walking 20 minutes a day 3-5 times a week.

chewing gum activates salivarygland to produce saliva and you should know that saliva is a digestive enzyme so one its goes in it helps digest so the process of digestion will get faster which results in the increase in the rate of metabolism the bottom line is that Yes it will make you lose weight provided you dont take excessive calories than what is required by your body.
you'r jaw muscles will definately grow stronger and musculer if you chew gum all day.
If its eating gum I dont think it'll help you in losing weight.

You probably mean chewing gum. But anyways chewing gum will probably make you lose weight because you don't really think of food or soda or whatever. But if you constantly think of food while chewing gum you probably won't lose weight.Hope that helps.

Chewing on gum makes you hungrier, yes, but it's not good to starve yourself and only chew on gum. Since you chew on gum you're only sending down saliva and your body thinks it's sending down food. This is why you get the growling stomach when you know you chewed on way too much gum, or just when you're hungry.

5'9 and 146 pounds is good! even if you have a small frame (skeleton), 146 is still NOT overweight!
i'm 5'9 and 180, with a medium frame, and i'm only slightly overweight. Want to go down to 160, and i'll be happy!

Maybe. I wouldn't recommend that you do it, though. You chew gums, not eat them.
