IF youre using an applet or a program that uses JAVA , then you will have to update your computer with JAVA runtime to run those programs.

Go to http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp and download the version 5.0 update 6 java runtime if there are programs that you are trying to use that require that plugin. It is a very simple installation and normally when I play JAVA applet games, then I would need that plugin to play.
