it could take a while... i've known some women who never really dry up, others seem to happen right away

Depends. Could be a few weeks, or several. If you want your milk to dry up, wear tight fitting bra's, do not take a hot shower, and you could try some of the natural remedies found at any local health food store.

I didn't breastfeed. Once my milk came in I was in for about two days of major pain. I kept leaking now and then until our daughter was about a month old. (Course, hubby had a hand in keeping up the supply for that long, I believe.)

i so agree with the first answer. i was still leaking 2 years after my last sone was weaned. It just depends on the woman and whether or not her hubby is still sucking on them.

they use to give you a pill to take and your milk would be dried up in about a week or maybe a little longer than that...but usually around a week
