You're a Jersey Girl, aren't you?

Angelo's in Little Italy has the best Italian food around. Try the scungilli with tomato sauce from the appetizer menu and then a nice seafood dish from their specials.

Be warned. Scungilli makes your horny and increases sperm count. Yes it's true.

For dinner on the town, there's Bubba Gump Shrimp Co in Times Sq. The food is great and it has awesome views of Times Sq. because the restaurant is upstairs from the gift shop.

Enjoy.

Landmarc. 179 Broadway. It's excellent food (get the mussels). Quiet, affordable, ecclectic menu with a great wine list. Downtown. Take the trains to the Franklin stop. Bon Appetit!

Sounds like you are going for something romantic. When in NYC, one of my personal favorites is River Cafe on Water St. in Brooklyn. Overlooks East River and great views from every table, plus food is pretty good too.

But if you'd like some more ideas, check out http://newyork.citysearch.com/bestof/results/41?init_search=1 which is CitySearch rankings for most romantic restaurants in the city and should let you find your favorite type of food and in your price range.

Go watch Woody Allen play his clarinet at the Carlyle Hotel. Great food and Woody's not Artie Shaw but it ain't bad.

A bit expensive. Only you'll know if it's worth it.
