My friend is having some problems with the messenger, IMVU. Every time he opens the client and logs in, it says "Could not connect to IMVU server. Please check your internet connection and try again." So far he's unable to find the problem. He believes he needs the IP address to see if his firewall is blocking it. So, if anyone has had this problem, please tell me, and if you have a solution, please answer.

He has already tried re-installing the program. So far that has failed to work.

He has already deleted it completly off his PC as well and re-installed it.

does he have a dial-up connection? that may be the problem. make sure he is connected to the internet before logging in. Once connected disable the firewall and see if it connects to the server.

get new version of the messenger(messenger live), i had same problem with the old one

Take it off your PC then reinstall it.
