My sister is going through a divorce. Her marriage was over a long time ago. He has been cheating on her from day one with his other childs mother. Anyways we had this big trip planned for Disney World in September (36 days away). Her husband(soon to be x) and step son will no longer be going. We have already paid for their spots, refilled the child's spot, now we have one more adult spot to fill. She has never stopped loving her 1st husband and even after she left him and was pregnant with her child with her current husband he was still willing to take her back and make things work. She is finishing her divorce papers on Saturday. Anyways we saw her 1st husband the other night (he came to see her breifly) and i have never seen her that happy. They have been talking on the phone every day and her little girl (3 years old) told her yesterday that she looked happy. So should I call him and ask him if he wants to take this extra spot, completely paid for? She is too nervous to ask him.

You'd be better off asking the ex to come over and give her the opportunity to ask him herself. She may get the nerve if he happens to come over now that it's close for the trip & things may be on the positive directions for their relationship again. It could give them a chance to see where things could lead to before making any strong commitments.

Yes he should go with you guys on the trip. It is so hard to find someone who loves you as much as you love them. If you think your sister and her ex still have feelings for each other and she is practically divorced then they should go for it! Ask him to go!

If she is comfortable with him going I see no problem with asking him to go. It won't cost him nothing and sis will have a chance to be reaquainted with someone she still cares about.
