What really is your idea of truth if you are generalizing that all responses to religious section untrue? And how well do you know that political answers are true?
What I know is that many politicians specially those leaders of the past and even the present has so many things to do with our current problems in the world because of the untrue history they have said and written. They believed in their lies and they have achieved to make many believe also that what they said and wrote was the true history of the nation or the world. Our current economic problems here in United States have something to do with the lies created in the House of Senate and Congress caused by draft and corruptions. We are lucky we have a good Judiciary systems which also from time to time slips through th red tapes.
For Religion, it generally is the wrong interpretation or understanding of the written words in many Holy Books that people listened to. Holy man or priests are the main reasons for making a large congregation believe but as you can see for yourself, you are now being given the right to doubt, to question and not to believe. Holy Man, Priests, Ministers based their words on the teachings of their Masters, Authorities or from what they call Divine
Inspirations. They do not lie, they just say what they believe is true and no one has insisted on anyone to believe specially in this present times.
May I also take this opportunity to say to everyone whom I know are sincerely searching the truth. When you want make an opinion as you question please make sure you do not make generalizations for not everybody is guilty of your accusation. Don't say ALL maybe you can use the word MOSTLY from your observations. Thank you.

All of the responses here are lies? Well then, since you know they are ALL lies, there's only 2 options here... go somewhere else... or get off your butt and correct them.

Fanatics tend to be liars... just because someone is part of a religion doesn't make them a liar. And, they are saying what they think... just like the political section does.... You know, this was dangerously close to saying that political people don't lie.... ROFL

It seems to me that people in the religion section say what they think. If what they think looks like lies to you, well, you just have to say that religion people take what are lies to you as true. After all, there is a difference between believing a falsehood to be true and telling a lie.

And the political people are also merely stating their opinions and beliefs.

No. not at all. They are most truthful. Historians are liers. Remember, what Mark Twain had said ? quote - In some cradle, some historian must be lying and he will continue to lie till his end.

Your choice not to believe doesn't make something a lie

In my opinion it is the political people who have the habit of lying and this turns those who would listen into grumpy old men

I agree with Grandma Susie. Even if you do not believe in God, it doesn't make everyone in the religious section liars. Get a life.

I really couldn't work out what you question was... so i'm going to answer what i think you were asking. I don't think religious people a "liars" as you say. I think they believe in their god and live their lives as they believe thier god wants them too. Just because you disagree with their beliefs, doesn't mean they are wrong!

I say what I think. The fact of the matter is that you don't like the fact that I meditate on the Word often and come to logical conclusions.

"There are three essentials of the church: acknowledgment of the divine of the Lord, acknowledgment of the holiness of the Word [Bible], and the life which is called charity" (Divine Providence n. 259[3]).

There are liars everywhere. The ones in religion are more than natural liars they are supernatural liars.

I almost laughed, there, but actually it's not a joke and it's not funny.

I FIND YOUR LACK OF FAITH DISTURBING... Darth Vader, Star Wars Episone IV.

Why do you call Christians liars just because you don't believe what you are hearing? Maybe the lie is embedded in your brain.
