I have never been a hardcore believer in past lives, I have always been very skeptical, until I start having memories of other times. For about a couple years now, I have had sporadic remembrances of me living a time around the 1920's/1930's, there are just so many images, names, emotions that come up that I can't explain, they are not from movies, and not from early childhood. Thse memories just seem to pop up from time to time, mostly while I am doing something very mundane, like walking up a flight up stairs or eating breakfast. At this time, I can remember two names from this life, where I lived, pieces about my childhood, the house I lived in, and other very mudane memories. My problem is now that there are just some memories that seem to be blocked, and they seem to be memories of bad things. How do unlock these memories, and how to I remember more myself? Also, is it common to remember all of this?

The human brain is one of the least understood human organs.

The most plausible theory is called "cellular memory" and implies cells in the human body retain primitive "memories" of past events.

In other words, the cells in our bodies are the same cells that existed in other bodies.

In spite of what the answer above says, there are many who believe in past lives. There are even people who will help you with past life regression. If this is of interest to you, I'd do a search on the internet and see if you can find someone. It might take a bit of time, but it might be quite helpful.

These things just absolutely fascinate me. I know there are ways to unlock these memories phsychologically but I have not discovered them. The human mind is so complex and mankind has yet to fully understand it. We only use about 5% of our brains...imagine what we could do or remember if we could tap into the rest!

It is common and more than possible. You as a person are much more than just that little organ called "the brain".

We can imagine life in previous times very realistically thanks to books and movies. Your dreams can therefore seem realistically in that time, as well.

Besides, what's to stop me from claiming to have been Thomas Edison, and I want my patent income NOW!!!

""Remembering past lives?""

Hard to believe when the BRAIN is rotting in the ground.

The total of it is not plausible AT ALL!
