When it comes to getting over someone when you decided to cut off all ties with him. Does cutting off all ties mean also to stop financially support him while he's in another country? The church says to support him and I don't want to support him anymore.

Cutting off all ties means CUTTING OFF ALL TIES!! No more talking, or supporting in any way. If the church wants to support him they can. You dont have to. Be strong.

What part of cutting off ALL ties don't the church pick up on from this relationship. There should be a way to help the person without your having to actually support him (money wise, right?). Spiritually supporting should be OK, as long as he understands this action.

YES: cut off all ties. Listen to your gut instincts... It sounds like your gut might know what to do better than anyone else around you! Cut off all ties with him/her. Good luck!

Letting go and moving on consisted, for me, of forgiving the one my heart loved, for not loving me in the same way. If forgiveness is not there then there is no letting go. Once I forgave him I was able to accept the way things were, and then stepped out from that place back into my life. As far as support, you have to listen to your own heart on that one.
