That's a weird amount of Memory.... however you should have no problem if you F DISK your machine and clean it all up first.

yes, you can. no need to create partition but if you want, whatever. 192mb- weird amount but if it isnt faulty- fine. i used to run winxp with only 96mb and 651mhz processor and it worked fine. after all min ram requirement for winxp is 64mb. also with 800mhz processor, there should be no problem -unless u dont have compatible version of drivers for ur pc to function with winxp. anyway, try installing it first and then see -maybe winxp already have compatible drivers for ur hardware preinstalled with it

good luck

WinXP should install, but I would recommend upgrading your RAM at least before you do it. Also, make sure you have all the drivers for your hardware before you reinstall just in case WinXP doesn't have them.

Technically, you need 256 ram for XP, it run will on less but it will be very slow and ungainly. The harddrive will also slow it down. I recommend leaving 98 on there and saving your money for a new pc.

While you could probably do this, I would recommend against it. Win2000 is a better choice for a machine with these specs and even then the system is really underpowered as far as RAM.

just install xp over 98. xp only needs 64mb of ram, a few gigs of HD space, and a 233MHz processor.
