Oh yeah BTW my bf's pc is is also XP BUT... his didn't come with a key... so I can't get the software to load without the key...

You cannot upgrade for free, but an upgrade is cheaper then straight out buying XP. I had ME, and it sucked! My system was always crashing and I had screen freezes all the time. You will be much happier with XP. I upgraded to XP and love it!
It is nice to sit down at the computer for a couple of hours and not have to re-boot every 30 minutes. Believe me, I feel your pain! Good luck.

Download it from Morephus and most of them have keygens to use it. You might get a message on your computer from Microsoft saying your software is not valid but it still works 100%

Yes of course, you can download XP on IRC and shareaza edonkey and whatever.
They also have a stripped down version without the M$ trojan and spyware in it.

yes, you can get it for free by using edonkey2000 to download Windows XP,
otherwise you have to pay.

very unlikely, if it is, then its not legal, If you happen to be a college students, mosts campuses sell the operating system at a serious discount.
