if it's localised in one place it might be a cold sore, though that would probably appear within a few days at most. If it is a cold sore dab on tea tree oil as it's loads chaeper and at least as effective as over the counter pharmoceutical products

That sounds like a very similar sensation to when you get a local anaesthetic at the dentist and sensation is just returning. I would have to concur that it sounds nerve related.

does she take a lot of coke
one of my friends had a simelar problem we managed to get him along to CA meetings and hes never looked back a totally new person
the first stage in dealing with the problem is admitting you have one

It could be a symptom of migraines with an aura.. or she could be having heart valve prolapse..
stress or anxiety could cause either one..
