well some already answered-
i agree XX is either Kiss, Kiss or HUG HUG
since XoXoxOxO is kisses and hugs iwould believe the X=kiss
however i have had girlfriends in the past that referenced the
O's as kisses...?? go figure-
Wait if the girl added one moreX so that the letter/ note closed with XXX that would = kissing & hugging in all the right places. don't ya think

XX at the end of a love letter counts as two kisses. If it is a combination of "X" and "O" then it's kisses and hugs. Those are examples of pre-computer age smileys: the "X" has been likened to the wrinkles of a puckered pair of lips and the "O" has been likened to two people hugging, seen from above...sort of.
