As I used to tell my Cub Scout parents, "Girl Scouts sell cookies, Boy Scouts sell popcorn". The Girl Scouts are just better at marketing a $4 box of cookies than a $15 box of popcorn.

well if you think about it would anyone really buy cookies from a boyscout not really for the reason that the boyscout are boys that do alot of outdoors stuff and they probably wouldn't know the first thing to do in the kitchen

Actually, I do not know the answer to that one. I was a boyscout, and I do not remember how we raised money. Of course when you are that age, you really do not think about it.

Boy Scouts sell popcorn. If all the groups sold the same thing, none of them would sell much. This way you have a variety of junk to buy.

Boy Scouts sell popcorn instead, plus its a much better deal and less hurtful to my waist line since I can buy the lite and its still really good.
