I don't want any fad diets like South Beach but just sensible everyday food us "meat & potato" people can enjoy.

You may consider Weight Watchers a fad too - I don't know. It's been around a long time. I lost a lot of weight cooking via the receipes in them -- yes, meat, vegies, etc and desserts. It's good food - low fat - healthy. I've kept the weight off for 3 years too.

Good and Diet do not go together. That is what is known as an oxymoron. Best rules are eat what you want in moderation and exercise your as-s off. No Chocolate, No Potatoes, No Cheese = works for me and I look anorexic yet am not.

Yeah you should try the G1 cookbook, it has some good healthy recipes. They're filling but full of good nutritious ingredients.
