Somewhat funny, but really you should have pointed out the failure on her part to make sense instead of openly mocking her idiotic question.
However, I would consider naming my kid Jesus
just to annoy the bible thumpers, so maybe I'm just as bad. I don't think I will though, considering Jesus is a pretty ugly name.

I think you are struggling with accepting Christ as your Saviour. It's a good sign. I remember doing the same kind of stuff just before I got saved.
Yes, Jesus loves you very much. He did turn water into wine. He did lots of miracles. Lots of wonderful things for people. He is so much love!
You will know this to be true for yourself once you accept Him into your heart.
