I used to be a broker for Ameriplan. Ameriplan is NOT an insurance company, but it is a discount plan. Almost every doctor, dentist, and pharmacy accepts it. It's very cheap. Ameriplan is insurance companies biggest competitor. I have the number for a broker that can help you. 1-800-479-6185 Good luck!!

Welcome to the real world. I'm 48 and no health insurance (plus I have some serious issues I need to take care of and can't). This administration could care less about health insurance or what's going on with the U.S. citizens right now.

Many schools offer health insurance. My school has it for about 600 bucks a year, with the cost of tuition it's not too bad.

Your best bet is to find the nearest welfare/ family and children services. Go apply for insurance, and I know you may think well that isn't a good idea, but try because you are eligible til you are 24 to get insurance as long as you are making under the state minimum. I hope this helps.

check your school, most have health plans available, for private insurance check with nationwide they are pretty cheap

also, don't get full coverage insurance if you are healthy and safe...you can get major medical insurance which doesn't cover going to the doctor and dental and such...add up how much you go to the doctor and see if it would be cheaper the pay the full amount when you go and save a lot every month, or the other way around

most schools now have a program for health insurance plans. They are fairly inexpensive. There are also some programs that you can talk to an insurance agent about that are designed especially for students.

You can get insurance at a reasonable rate. Talk to your parents about having them help foot some of the bill. Be glad your parents are there to help you. My dad is a scum bag that won't provide me any sort of help because I was female instead of a male child, even though he is more than financially capible of helping me out.
