There is always a slight chance. Why doesn't your boyfriend or partner have a vasectomy? it is far easier for the male to take preventative measures than a female. Tying up your fallopian tubes is not a good thing in the long run either. Some women have been known to develop cancer. I am not saying you will, but really your partner is responsible for taking the necessary protective measure. It's far less complicated and does not affect a male in any way, unless he wants to have children later.

After have three singal bith and waiting to have my tubal a couple of months later I was pregnant with twins which gave me five children at 25 years old. It's been 14 years and counting, there are times when my body shows signs of being pregnant like missed cycles ect. I have heard of this happening just not with me.

They say after 7-10 years sperm can get through and impregnate someone, my friend had this happen. Did you get them cut tied and burned? Just tying them has been known to come undone.

It can happen, as the tubes can open up again. It's rare, though. I do know someone that it has happened to. As far as the actual number, I'm not sure.
If you're worried about it, talk to your gyno.

The probability is less than 1% if done properly. You tied them yourself? How brilliant!:)

You could ask your doctor about an IUD, or Norplant, or something like that, if it would give you peace of mind.
