drowning is said to be on the worst forms of death, or anything that includes not being able to breath, plastic bag over your head, or any other form of asphyxia

personally, a guillotine is one of the worst although it is also one of the quickest, as when you head is severed, your head(your brain) is still functioning normally for a short while after-wards, and the last thing that your thinking off is that you have been beheaded before you die, just imagine being able to see your body from a totally different perspective, unable to change your view in your last moments, truly horrific

Dying in a slow manner (albeit like torture). Either having weights tied to your feet and being thrown into the open ocean (die by drowning and/or the weight of water sitting on you) or being forced to stand in quicksand.

Or being thrown into a giant safe and being locked away with no ventilation.

Or being dowsed with liquid bleach.

There was an ancient torture method employed by the Greeks (I think). What they would do is take the victim, strip him naked, and row out in a boat in a pond or lake somewhere.

They would tie his hands and feet so that they'd be facing upward while the victim was lying on his back. They would then force feed him honey and milk until he had diarrhea. Then, they'd rub honey all over his body and let him lie there.

Insects would flock to him and start eating the honey and then biting him, thus producing gangrene-like wounds (the flies would then eat the fecal matter). The poor guy would die of gangrene and/or bacterial contamination from his diarrhea.

There are lots of creative ways to die; some quick and some slow.

The worst way to die is to live so long, that everyting you knew is no longer, freinds and family are dead, and you are no longer able to to anything. Then you get some desese like cancer. You know your going to die and can't find any confort. Then after an angonizing end of your days, you pass away in the night while sleeping.

Hey, dead is dead. It can be a painful heart attack or a quiet stroke. It can be a car accident or a falling telephone pole or tree. The worst, of course, is a slow, painfull death by any form... such as cancer, starvation, trapped in a submarine at the bottom of the ocean or lung disease from smoking all your life, struggling to simply get your next breathe.

The old English way of doing it was by ripping out your insides, then while you were still alive...they'd draw and quarter you. That had to hurt.
