OK since this is hypothetical. My answer would be this. Hey, man I hear that you get a kick out of everyone thinking that you are endowed with horns, tail and wings like a bat. Devil: yeah, they think that I look like the underwood devil or something. me: I know what a hoot. Hey why aren't you tormenting some poor Christian or something? Devil: I don't need to they do it for me, they have themselves so terrified of me that they keep it perpetually going. I don't have to do a thing. By the way, why aren't you scared of me? Me: Me? Oh that is because I am a witch and you do not hold any power or even exist in my belief system.
With that he would dematerialize again into nothing.

I might say :"What the Hell have you been doing? And where have you been my whole life, dam you're sexy!" (If he was devilishly handsome)
But, if he was big and ugly and scarey I'd probably say; "Hello master, how may I serve you?" Just to make sure he thought twice before destroying me, maybe. Hey the only way to get along with a big mean boss is kiss his big red butt, right?
