Sushi is an acquired taste. The first time I tried it, well, lets just say that I didn't like it much. It was ok, but not great. Over the years, it grew on me, and now I am a big fan. If you haven't had Sushi before, and would like to try, I would go with someone that has had it before. I would also advise the Sushi Chef that you are trying it for the first time. That way, you will probably avoid the Sushi with very sharp taste, such as Eel, or yellowtail.

Enjoy!

Sushi tastes like raw fish. When the fish is fresh and no scales, sushi tastes rally good. It tastes even better when dipped in wasabi, a spicy paste and soy sauce, maybe that's how you eat a sashimi. But, sushi tastes really good whatever sauce you like even catsup! weird huh?

People always think of 'raw fish' when they think of Sushi but you do have a choice. I personally have never tried it raw but LOVE California Rolls I/O (w/out onion) and Fried Shrimp Rolls. I'm going to get some today in fact! Yummy!!! Rice, cooked shrimp, crab...how can you go wrong?

Sushi (not sushie) is mostly made up of vinegared rice, so it has a mild flavour, and depending on the filling or topping, it'll be crunchy or smooth.

Sushi is very yummy and is not necesarily raw. Sashimi is all raw, but sushi can be cooked fish. The most popular sushi is a california roll and it is cooked crab, avacado, rice, sea weed rap. very yummy, but I do prefer raw fish.

Each piece tastes different due to the different types of fish. I cannot get over the texture though. LOL
