God bless you! Your church can always use your help to make the ministries continue on successfully. If nothing else, ask the pastor or volunteer coordinator how you can help today.

Sometimes, all you need to do is mow the lawn, paint a nursery or toss trash after an event. Anything you volunteer for at your church will be a chore to serve God, not people who didn't do it themselves.

You are already taking the first step to growing spiritually. Leave yourself open for the first chore, God is preparing you for bigger and better things after you humble yourself.

I am proud to hear you step forward for God's sake...Peace

Now I'm not a religious fellow, so my first question is why you need your church to give you the chores? Couldn't you give yourself some projects to help improve your humility?

But then, you want to do it through church so I'd suggest the following:
The church isn't the building, it isn't the people who run it- it is the members. You are a member, you feel a personal need for help being humble then I'd suggest you organize an effort to help members with this. There are plenty of ways to do this. Helping the old and sick is a good way to do it. Volunteering at nursing homes or hospices helps remind you that health and strength are fleeting. You could also meet with others working through problems with pride and agree to all do things like make sure you apologize sincerely to someone at least once a day and make sure that you put the needs of another before your own at least once a day. Make sure you don't use the same situation on different days to get your apology or your selfless act out of the way.

Firstly love yourself, and help the needy(old folk). Respect the living beings(young or old). So that you will get it back. Money comes n goes, the only thing last forever is LOVE.

You might try talking to your pastor and tell him your desires. If you truly desire humility, God will teach you.

You dont have to.Dont let those people boss you around, even if they ARE good at it.Instead of toning yourself down, use your attitude to enhance your career, start a business,or some form of self-promotion.

When you see something that needs fixing you tell your pastor and go do it. There is always a floor to be swept, gum to be removed, papers to pick up and many things to do, windows to be washed, classrooms to be organized, people that just want someone to listen to them there is always SOMETHING to do you just have to look.
