And is it good? ☆You betcha! (*^o^*)
I'm an American living in Japan and I eat it almost everyday. The secret to eating tofu and enjoying it is knowing how to prepare it. It can be served so many ways. Take a look at some of my favorites:

I really like ALL the types of tofu and tofu products too, there are so many! I could go on about tofu... (^_-)-☆If you have it once and it's been prepared well, you'll love it and want to try it other ways too. Hope this helps!♡

Tofu is essentially soy bean curd. I love it because you can mix it with meat if you like or you can just season it. It is a very versatile ingredient and takes on the flavor of anything you want it too! I make a tofu pasta salad you may like to try. Boil some noodles and drain. I use macaroni or shells. Then, in a separate bowl, mix tofu, fresh basil, italian seasoning, chopped tomatoes, onion or onion powder, paprika, and any other seasonings or vegetables you may like. Mix this in with the noodles and sprinkle shredded cheese on top, usually a mozzerella or parmesean. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Feeds about three.

Tofu is soybean curd that has been pressed into a firm shape. It tends to take on the flavor of whatever seasonings you add to it. It can be very good in a stir-fry with vegetables.

I know what it is, but have never tried it. I sometimes watch that show on TLC "Honey, We're Killing The Kids". When the families sit down to eat it they all look like they are going to be sick after putting it in their mouths. I am not sure I want to try it.
