What do you think it will take to make schools more proficient?

I was watching the Oprah show the other day, and she did a special about schools in the US. I don't understand why and how a country falls from the top, to the bottom in something like education. How can a problem like this be fixed? And why is there always money for war, but not education? By the way, would anyone like to start a fund raiser for school programs?

competition. reward schools that do well. change schools that perform poorly.

free market. quit giving public money to failing schools. we're paying school to harm our children. give that money to schools that excel, like the ones you saw on tv.

your taxes pay for failing schools. take away the money, not give them more.
