As I know that I exist, I also know that my place in the world is small. I am a being conflicted internally and must struggle to do, and not to say, for in doing I can teach others, and by remaining humble, my acts will live forever.
What do you think?

Since asked where this came from, I will say that I wrote it, but I did not think it up. I have been reading the Tao te Ching with my wife, and we keep journals based on the poem we read for the night. This is what came out after reading the second poem.

I agree with you. One does not have to be famous or infamous to be remembered. A person who lives life the best they can trying to be the best person they can be will be remembered for the good person they were and the good they did for the world.

I must disagree with that last part "by remaining humble, my acts will live forever."

First of all, that's also an oxymoron...but not quite.

Secondly, nothing lasts forever except your immortal soul.

But assuming you don't mean for it to be taken literally, it's a very nice poem. You should consider publishing it.

Yes,you will teach others but will it be the truth
or what most everybody else puts out?
Remaining humble does not mean your acts will live forever, that can only live forever if someone else picks up what you taught and does them and passes it on,and so on and so forth.
That's what I think.

Philosophical. Yes..we are truly small in this world but in reaching out to others in humility we leave a mark in this world :) Is that your philosophy of your life (?)

Humility and modesty are good things. Basically this can be narrowed down to the old saying...ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!
