In the Bible it speaks of False prophets to came after Jesus. Does it however make mention anywhere of True Prophets to come?
If the Desciples of Jesus were given the Keys to the Kingdom would they not they pass them on? They were given that authority to do so...
My main question is still,"Does the Bible make mention of True Prophets to come?"

In second chapter of Acts.

Acts 2:17-21
"'In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
18 Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.

There are many who preach and teach without believing in Jesus. Many false religions. That is what false prophets the bible talks about.

In the Bible, A prophet was in essence a preacher. Some were given special power (i.e. Moses, Elijah, Elisha, etc). There will always be a "remnant" as the Bible call it. A group of believers. And, since we are likened to sheep in the Bible then we need a Shepherd or someone to lead the flock. God is still calling Pastors but no one has the Apostolic miracle abilities that he gave to the Prophets of old. The passage that you are referring to speaks about False Prophets that come preaching: "another Jesus, another Spirit or another gospel," then we are to wary of them. Jesus was letting us know, through the apostle Paul that there would be some who look SO MUCH like Christians that some would be confused. The bottom line is, know the real Jesus, the real Holy Spirit and the real Gospel and you will have no problem discerning the sheep and the wolves.

Yes, Jesus said to look for the fruits of the prophet. If the "fruits" are good, then it is a true prophet, but if the "fuits" are evil, then it is a false prophet.

The scriptures also talk about a falling away from the truth that would occur after Jesus's time and before the last days. This falling away has occurred, in fact it started shortly after the initial apostles were killed.

Luckily, the scriptures also talk about a restoration of all things in the last day. This also has happened. God's truth has been restored to the earth through a true prophet. The prophet was Joseph Smith. His fruits are the Book of Mormon and other scripture brought forth in our modern times. Check it out.

Sorry, I don't have an exact verse off the top of my head, just one brain teaser question: Why would we be warned against false prophets if there weren't true ones that we would have to discern them between? If there was never going to be true prophets on the earth again, wouldn't it say "beware of prophets period"?

I don't believe the heavens are closed. We really do need God's communication through Prophets today more than ever.

Best wishes.

Matthew 23:34 [Jesus is speaking] "Therefore, indeed, I send you prophets, wise men, and scribes: some of them you will kill and crucify, and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues and persecute from city to city, 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 Assuredly, I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation."

A parallel verse is found at Luke 11.

Spiritual Gifts were sent by Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, beginning at Pentecost (Acts 2), in fulfillment of Joel 2:28.

There are also Born Again believers (both Jew and gentile alike) who possess the Spritual Gift of prophecy. Please note, this gift is different than the Old Testament's definition of Prophet. Although some folks now claim to hold the "office" of Prophet, their gift is tiny compared to OT prophets such as Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel. You can read about the Spritual Gifts at 1 Cor. 12, 1 Cor. 14 and Eph. 4. Anyone calling themselves a prophet, or who claim to have the gift of prophecy, must be 100% accurate; the prophecy cannot contradict Biblical teaching, nor can it add to it.

During the Tribulation, the "Two Witnesses" will be sent to Israel to prophesy to the people; these prophecies will greatly torment the Antichrist (Rev. 11:1-14).

I hope this helps. Peace and love in Jesus.

All I know is we are to "test" the spirits. Paul said if someone teaches a different gospel, then he is a false prophet. The Old Testament also says that if there is a prophet among us that makes predictions that don't come true, then he is to be killed. This does leave open the possibility of True Prophets.

No more prophets. Jesus was the last one to prophesy.
The main false prophet to come is the devil. He will come pretending to be Jesus, looking like Jesus, creating miracles; but, his voice will be that of a the devil, dragon.
Rev 13:11"And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon."
The prophets from the time before Jesus, pave the way for Jesus.

no...why should it? Jesus is not against the people who speak the truth and is against people who don't. He wanted to warn everyone of false prophets. True prophets are the ones who actually say the right things about the Lord, and he wanted to tell people to watch out for some flase prophets.

The Bible does mention that one of the gifts is the gift of prophecy. A lot of people have this gift today. They are true prophets as you would call them. We must take all that we hear and weigh it against what we know of God. If we do this the truth will be revealed to you.

The Barnaba gospel which was omitted from the Bible around 500 ac because it mentioned the coming of Prophet Mohammad PBUH and it emphasized the oneness of God and contradict trinity. The corruption affected the Bible (adding, deleting, editing and modifications) rendered it unreliable.
